Great Lakes Impact Investment Platform Launched

During their 2019 Leadership Summit, the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Governors & Premiers announced the development of the Great Lakes Impact Investment Platform developed in collaboration with a multidisciplinary project team, as a new structure to encourage environmentally sustainable economic growth.

The Platform features various investment strategies that contribute to the vitality of the region’s waters and generate competitive, market based financial returns.

This type of geographically-specific investment platform will be the first of its kind. The platform therefore represents an unprecedented model that could be applied to other natural resources, both in this region and globally.
